While they have been careful to keep on the right side of the law for the most part, they have legitimised racism and hate, and having unleashed a monster among the electorate, set Wales and the rest of the UK back forty years. Their policies are repugnant, so don't be an apologist for them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104008306812776429.post-76963737406498604512016-06-27T22:16:21.554+01:002016-06-27T22:16:21.554+01:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104008306812776429.post-54727577143899707012016-05-22T13:46:10.113+01:002016-05-22T13:46:10.113+01:00Hi WnB been trying to reply to your twitter dm but...Hi WnB been trying to reply to your twitter dm but can't get it to work.

Anyway re your message

I don't know of any book specifically about Radnorshire dialect but my guess it was a chapter in the book Radnorshire by W Howse published just after the war. He also had a shorter work called Radnor Old and New which also covered dialect. Can this be true?
"In 1997 the Welsh Tories went down all hands on deck. William Hague, that prototypical Tory Boy, shut down the Young Conservatives.

But it is claimed that there was one small corner of Cymru fach where the blue flame flickered defiantly against the gathering gloom before finally being extinguished. And of all places, dear reader, that was in Ammanford where, according to former school friends, Lee Waters enthusiastically embraced the Conservative and Unionist cause in a town reeling from the effects of Thatcherism."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104008306812776429.post-42521533353340689762016-04-18T20:30:14.714+01:002016-04-18T20:30:14.714+01:00As someone wisely posted on Facebook about this .....As someone wisely posted on Facebook about this ......... "what's wrong with the world? Let me tell you one of the things wrong with it... that for a week hundreds have shared a touching picture of children in front of a UN tent in a refugee camp. The tent says something along the lines of, "if you don't want refugees in your country, then stop voting for people who bomb our countries".
Oh, of course, there is a lot of truth in that, but of course, it is only a partial truth, because most of those people are in refugee camps not because of Western leaders, but because of the bombs dropped on them by the Assad regime, by its partner Russia, even by its solid supporters, the mercenaries of Hezbollah and the Iranian Artesh or even their special forces.
How many people share this picture? With children actually under the bombs, standing in the rubble of what was probably their own street, telling you Russia and the regime are killing them by bombs and starvation. How come this picture is not some hotly shared meme? How come it's more pleasant for us to share out "Western burden" than to share and raise awareness of the facts of the genocide of the Syrian people????"Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08551556890466926234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104008306812776429.post-76420593091455340422016-03-20T11:03:43.960+00:002016-03-20T11:03:43.960+00:00Love the line about "shrugging acceptance&quo...Love the line about "shrugging acceptance". One thing...That's partly why I chose the name.

One thing I started to do was to try and always post a picture and a comment/link with it. Pictures tend to generate more interest and best of all the text on a picture post can always be edited. Without a picture all you can do is leave it or delete it, a bit like a tweet.

You usually post a lot of pics in your blogs, charts and so on. Try posting some of these with a brief explanation and a link back to the blog if they want more info. That way if a picture does generate a lot of interest you can always add a little more info into the text.

This is just a suggestion, it wont be for everyone but the more of us on facebook, twitter (I see Jacs even got himself a tumblr!) the more normal it becomes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104008306812776429.post-15773711314317773342013-07-13T12:18:23.201+01:002013-07-13T12:18:23.201+01:00I've had the exact opposite problem. But despite my "reach" on the Facebook page being in the tens of thousands, I'm left wondering why I bother with it.

People do post links to my blog on their own pages - so it does generate quite a few hits - but hardly anyone shares from my own Facebook page.

In fairness though, I only really use it as an extra way to post/share links to the blog rather than for other means, so it's not that big of a problem and I see its usefulness. A title like "Welsh not British" is always going to generate a lot of interest, mind. :)Owenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04347494808853759106noreply@blogger.com
